Performs a variety of warehouse functions with limited supervision, including order fulfillment, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and equipment operation. Ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures.

 

Responsibilities

  • →Perform all standard warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • →Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
  • →Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • →Process shipping and receiving documentation and verify accuracy of transactions.
  • →Investigate and resolve routine inventory discrepancies.
  • →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
  • →Coordinate the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse.
  • →Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and HazMat requirements.
  • →Meet / exceed established productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
  • →Assist with cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation and inventory control activities.
  • →Assist with training and on-boarding new warehouse associates.
  • →Develop working knowledge and hands-on proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Laminate, Inventory, Will Call, UPS, Shipping, Receiving, and Salt departments, enabling assistance and coverage as needed throughout the warehouse.
  • →Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Requires the ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Requires the ability to read and write in English and to understand numerical and alphabetical sequences.
  • Requires the ability to complete forms and order parts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and spend significant periods of time each day in physical labor.
  • Must be certified as a forklift operator within 60 calendar days of start date.
  • Requires good to advanced skills in the use of tools required to perform assigned job responsibilities.
  • Experience in operating a stock picker and/or forklift. Forklift certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Distribution industry preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4+ years of warehouse experience

 

What We Offer

Salary Range - $22.00 or higher depending on experience (DOE)

 

This work requires the following physical activities:  climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 75 lbs. of material, finger dexterity for activities such as data entry and calculator use, grasping, repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between locations.  Use of both hands is required. This is a safety sensitive position.
