Education & Outreach Officer - Maharashtra State Office

WWF-India is one of the largest organisations in India, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation, for over 50 years. We invite applications for the position of Education & Outreach Officer in our Mumbai office. The Education & Outreach Officer will play a key role in implementing WWF-India’s environmental education and corporate engagement programmes in Maharashtra. The role involves strengthening school and citizen outreach, managing programme delivery, and supporting corporate volunteering and awareness initiatives. Key Responsibilities Corporate Engagement & Nature Connect Conceptualizing and executing Corporate Connect initiatives. Develop an annual corporate engagement calendar. Build and maintain relationships with corporate CSR/HR teams. Manage event logistics, participant communication, and feedback. Environment Education & Outreach Support outreach of ongoing programmes: Vasundhara Mitra, Mangrove Mitra, Nature Connect, People for Planet. Liaise with schools, educators, volunteers, and NGOs. Coordinate workshops, eco-trails, webinars, and awareness events. Monitor programme progress and maintain documentation. Support training and orientation for educators, master trainers, and volunteers. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting Maintain databases for corporates, schools and volunteers. Track programme milestones, outputs, and outcomes. Document case studies, feedback, and best practices. Requirements Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree – preferably in Environmental Studies, Education, Social Work, Sustainability, or related field. Applicants from Business / Communications will also be considered. 2 - 3 years’ experience in programme coordination/ business development/education/outreach, or CSR/community engagement. Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Proficiency in MS Office / Excel / Social Media channels Key Competencies Collaborative, innovative, adaptable, responsible.
