Project Controls Specialist - Canada

- Support ZEECO contract manufacturing with onsite supervision and inspections of fabrication for combustion and recovery equipment.
- Provide both onsite and remote technical troubleshooting and repair services for ZEECO customers on their combustion equipment.
- Help support clarifying local, provincial, and national regulations to assist product group engineers in providing solutions.
- Help support the product certification process for Vapor equipment supplied in Canada.
- Provide expediting support of contract manufacturing.
- Facilitate parts and equipment to be supplied by Zeeco and expedite as needed.
- Communicate with customers and their affiliates as needed for site specific issues, inspections, meetings, visits, etc. as a representative of Zeeco.
- Have a full understanding of both Microsoft Word and Excel software documentation.
- Complete all required documentation of the above services completed, in a timely manner and according to company policy.
- Provide detailed information on all tasks completed as well as providing any recommendations that would benefit the customer or equipment operation while on site or providing remote support according to company policy.
- Be capable of representing ZEECO at the customer and manufacturing sites during
- Have a technical understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings that are typical to these types of equipment.
- Be responsible for maintaining and operating all company provided tools including vehicles, cell phones, laptop computers, safety equipment, and company provided PPE required to complete the above tasks.
- Be responsible to complete and qualify for all company related Safety requirements for this position and following all company and customer required safety regulations while in company property or at any customer location.
- Be available and responsible for all on-call request for service support in your region.
B.S. degree in Technology, Engineering, and/or 6-10 years of related field experience in the refining or petrochemical industry.
Ability to complete computer functions such as word processing, spreadsheet functions and email applications. General understanding of computer networking applications and basic knowledge of PLC programming and hardware troubleshooting.
Capable of interpreting specialized documents and initiating effective communication to others. Capable of writing or modifying new or existing documents typically used in this position requiring the ability to expressing the terminology, phrases and plain language needed to effectively communicate.
Capable of completing all required documentation related to this position in a timely manner per the guidelines provided.
Requirements
~2 min readCapable of working in both indoor and outdoor climates for all regions and in extreme cold and warm environments while equipped with company provided and required PPE. Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and working in constricted or awkward positions for periods of time. Able to climb ladders and stairs. Able of pulling, bending, stooping and standing.
Completed the basic industry safety requirements as well as all ZEECO related and required safety programs prior to working alone in the field service group. Having a full understanding of vehicular and equipment safety as well as minimum PPE requirements and the freedom to stop work at any time the safety of you or others are at risk. Owning a state issued driver license with an acceptable driving history and no major offenses on their record.
Domestic travel within an assigned territory is required. Opportunities for international travel will occur from time to time and if you are qualified for the trip you may be asked or volunteer to make these trips.
