Senior FPGA Designer

Description

 As a member of a dynamic development team, the Senior FPGA will be responsible for FPGA and PLD design for carrier-grade Optical Transport, Optical Line Terminals (OLTs).

• →Create digital circuits and systems using FPGA technology, including coding in VHDL/Verilog, simulation, synthesis and debugging
• →Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate FPGA solutions into the circuit packs
• →Ensure design meets performance, power, and area requirements through simulation and hardware testing
• →Identify and resolve design issues during development and testing.
• →Create and maintain detailed documentation of design processes and modifications

Requirements

• →Degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or equivalent, coupled with 5+ years' experience in FPGA design
• →Strong understanding of digital design principles, FPGA architectures and HDLs (Verilog, VHDL)
• →Excellent communication skills 
• →Ability to foster collaboration with the design team  
• →Ability to identify and resolve complex design issues
• →Ability to optimize FPGA designs for thermal and performance
• →Basic understanding of Mechanical design principles relevant to FPGA design
• →Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements
• →Ability to keep up to date with the latest FPGA technologies and to guide device selection
• →Appreciation for how FPGAs interface with Hardware and Software

• Experience with hardware design of high-speed circuits
• Advanced electronics knowledge
•  Scripting experience (Python)
