Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Team Leadership: Drive results, manage execution timelines, and own the career growth and mentorship of the complete AVnV ( Functional Validation), FPGA, and Post-Silicon Validation team.
- →FPGA Prototyping & Emulation: Drive SoC prototyping and validation strategies using high-performance platforms, specifically FPGA (e.g., Xilinx/AMD, Intel) and Palladium hardware emulation environments.
- →Silicon Bring-up: Lead the planning and execution of post-silicon bring-up, functional validation, and characterization activities across temperature and voltage corners.
- →Board-Level Concepts: Architect, review, and oversee the development of complex validation boards, custom FPGA prototyping boards, reference platforms, and test fixtures required for silicon evaluation.
- →Cross-Functional Debug: Interact heavily with Test, Software/ROM, Application Engineering, and Analog Design teams to isolate, root-cause, and debug complex silicon bugs using both lab equipment and FPGA/Emulation trace environments.
- →Influence & Governance: Participate in and conduct rigorous hardware design reviews, board schematic reviews, and post-silicon/FPGA readiness gates.
- →Methodology Innovation: Innovate and drive improved validation methodologies and automation frameworks, collaborating with EDA and instrument vendors to upgrade lab tools, FPGA synthesis/mapping tools, and emulation flows.
Requirements
~1 min read- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in semiconductor validation and prototyping, with a proven track record of managing or leading engineering teams.
- Technical Depth: Strong understanding of board-level hardware concepts, high-speed signal integrity, lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), FPGA prototyping workflows, and emulation platforms (Palladium).
- Leadership Skills: Ability to drive results from the team even without having complete command of a specific domain.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally.
- Soft Skills: Strong verbal/written communication, time management, analytical problem-solving, and a result-driven attitude to handle dynamically evolving requirements.
