SUMMARY

The Data and Application Analyst is responsible for managing enterprise applications, ensuring data integrity, and delivering actionable insights through advanced reporting and dashboards. This role focuses on application configuration, data analysis, integration, research and testing of new or potential systems, and vendor management to support DTO initiatives. The individual acts as a champion of transformation, driving innovation and ensuring that applications and data solutions deliver optimal performance, compliance, and measurable business value.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer, configure, and maintain core business applications to support DTO projects.
  • Monitor application performance and implement enhancements for efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve application issues and ensure timely updates.
  • Develop bank-wide reports and dashboards to provide real-time insights for decision-making.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Design and implement data integration workflows between applications and systems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual processes and improve data flow.
  • Conduct research and testing of new or potential systems to evaluate suitability for DTO objectives.
  • Prepare recommendations and proof-of-concept reports for emerging technologies and tools.
  • Manage relationships with application and technology vendors to ensure service quality and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate vendor evaluations, negotiate service agreements, and monitor performance against SLAs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor escalations and issue resolution.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain data security and privacy standards in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Document application configurations, data models, and integration processes for audit readiness.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Certifications in Data Analytics, Application Management, or Cloud Technologies preferred.
  • Training in advanced data visualization tools and application lifecycle management.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in application support, data analysis, or IT operations, preferably in financial services or a similar regulated industry.

 

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications and data management principles.
  • Familiarity with SQL, ETL processes, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Lake architecture would be an asset.
  • Understanding of API integration and cloud-based platforms.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage application configurations and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Proficiency in creating dashboards and reports using BI tools.
  • Experience in programming and logic would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Self-driven and proactive in identifying optimization opportunities.
  • High ethical standards in handling sensitive data.
