Variable. Primarily Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. Rotating Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm as needed for teammate training.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies by adherence to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area, documenting corrective action to any non-conforming event.
- Participates in a competency assessment program, where qualified.
- Fosters a culture that values and recognizes the importance of teaching excellence for students and teammates.
- Collaborates with lab leaders to deliver a new teammate onboarding experience that is inclusive, teamwork focused, and highlights our Culture Commitments.
- Assigns and coordinates efficient training of students and teammates, delegating authority, and responsibility as appropriate to ensure training documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Designs, develops, and facilitates the dissemination of standard best practice training resources in response to healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, and strategic priorities of the organization.
- Utilizes multiple education modalities and leverages use of technology to provide educational activities both on and off the bench to increase engagement and productivity.
- Assesses learning styles and level of experience to customize training programs to provide a unique one-on-one learning experience.
- Performs competency assessments for teammates, ensuring that all teammates meet accreditation complexity requirements prior to reporting patient results and ongoing thereafter.
- Maintains clear, real-time communications shift-to-shift and with leadership regarding issues, concerns and problems which may affect patient care or the operation of the department.
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor's degree required. At least two years prior experience in a laboratory setting required and 5 years' experience preferred. MT(ASCP), MLS (ASCP), M(ASCP), MB(ASCP), HTL(ASCP) or CT(ASCP) preferred. MT(ASCP), MLS (ASCP), M(ASCP), MB(ASCP), HTL(ASCP) or CT(ASCP) required as appropriate to perform clinical testing. Teaching experience preferred.
