Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for Enrollment Services aligned with institutional and educational goals.
- →Establish goals, performance metrics, and outcome measures to evaluate effectiveness and apply best practices across education programs.
- →Translate strategic initiatives into operational plans that enhance the student experience and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
- →Contribute to departmental business planning and broader enterprise strategy.
- →Oversee processing and maintenance of student records from application through graduation.
- →Partner with educational and student support units to ensure seamless service delivery.
- →Serve on institutional committees to streamline processes and strengthen collaboration across the School of Medicine and University.
- →Participate in steering committees related to admissions, financial aid, and records operations.
- →Direct oversight of Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Records, and Learner Management functions.
- →Provide direct supervision to leaders within Student Records, Financial Aid, Admissions, and Learner Management.
- →Oversee admissions application systems such as CollegeNET and related platforms.
- →Manage vendor relationships and system partner contracts.
- →Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing teams through performance management, succession planning, and professional development.
- →Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and institutional requirements.
- →Ensure staff knowledge and training related to regulatory standards.
- →Partner with senior leadership on policy development aligned with institutional mission and compliance obligations.
- →Develop and manage the annual operating budget for Enrollment Services in collaboration with senior leadership.
- →Monitor expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- →Support grant development and management for academic and educational initiatives.
- →Uphold the organization’s Code of Ethical Conduct and ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree preferred (e.g., PhD, MBA, JD, MHA, MS, MPH, MPP, MPA).
- Advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience leading to management or direction of enrollment services.
- Experience in student records and/or admissions leadership preferred.
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment services.
- Strong knowledge of enrollment services operations.
- Experience with FERPA, FAFSA, and Title IV compliance requirements.
- Experience with Workday or other ERP systems; knowledge of student information systems such as PeopleSoft.
- Proven strategic and analytical thinking skills in complex organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty and senior leaders.
- Strong people leadership, team development, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, high-demand environment.
- Collaborative, ethical leadership style with commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to lead large, high-functioning teams and programs.
- Strong organizational, planning, and accountability capabilities.
