Provides accurate, timely, and customer-focused collection and processing of laboratory specimens to ensure cost-effective laboratory testing for patients according to approved policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Collection of Patient specimens in accordance with accepted laboratory standards and policies and procedures in order to ensure optimal specimen integrity and accurate test results.
- →Processes incoming laboratory orders and specimens in a customer-focused cost-effective manner to ensure quality patient care results.
- →Perform and assist in noninvasive electrocardiography cardiology services.
- →Timely reporting of patient results and collection logs to maintain quality patient care.
- →Actively participates in Performance Improvement and Advocate Experience activities within the department.
- →Maintains a minimum level of competency on policies and procedures.
- →Performs glucose time tests according to established procedures.
- →Maintains work area.

- Knowledge of basic phlebotomy technique and the use of vacutainers, needles, and syringes.
- Basic familiarity with CRT’s and keyboards.
- Exceptional patient relation skills.
- Is eligible to sit for ASCP phlebotomy certification exam , formalized phlebotomy educational program or pertinent on the job experience is acceptable
