• →Performance of a comprehensive array of sophisticated non-invasive procedures demonstrating the appropriate anatomy of interest.
  • →    1)Independently provides complete and accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
• →Documentation of patient history.
  • →    3)Communicates “Wet Read” reports to physician offices.
  • →    1)Records patient medical information.
  • →    2)Explains the test procedures to the patient.
• →Ensures a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining a continued awareness of safety hazard labels.
  • →    1)Complies with procedural standards in the care of our patient population.
  • →    2)Assists with proper positioning of patients as necessary(protective measures).
  • →    3)Cleans, prepares, and sanitizes all transducers according to manufacturer recommendations and established infection control standards.
  • →    4)Applies sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination to patients and instruments.
  • →    5)Maintains adequate supplies for the needs of the Ultrasound Department.
• →Provides technical support for smooth and efficient operation of the Ultrasound Department.
  • →    1)Provides encounter forms for completed procedures which are ready for billing.
  • →    2)Communicates with other departments to successfully schedule various exams for the patient.
  • →    3)Interacts closely with the site Manager providing for a smooth daily operation of the department.
  • →    4)Attends regularly scheduled department meetings and in-services.
  • →    5)Helps in answering telephones and scheduling patients as needed.
• →Responsible for staying abreast with the latest ultrasound developments.
  • →    1)Obtains membership in local, state, or national societies.
  • →    2)Attends continuing education seminars.
  • →    3)Maintains professional accreditation.
  • →    4)Participates in CQI projects.

• Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
• Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
• Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, or
• Vascular Sonography (VS) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, or
• Vascular Specialist (RVS) registration issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
• Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) registration with Adult Echo issued by the ARDMS needs to be obtained within 18 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, or
• Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) registration issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) needs to be obtained within 18 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Ultrasound. Must be able to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age group patients treated. Registered or Registry Eligible

• Excellent skills in performing abdomen, some OB/GYNE, some vascular and Small Parts ultrasound exams. Excellent knowledge in pathology in the named above.
