Planning Engineer – ACE Properties

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of building construction projects. The role requires close coordination with the site team, contractors, procurement, and management to align project progress with the company’s goals and timelines.

• Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.

• Define project milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables for building construction projects.

• Establish project baselines and regularly update progress reports.

• Integrate civil, electrical, mechanical, and finishing works into the master schedule.

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress of site activities.

• Analyze deviations between planned and actual progress and propose corrective actions.

• Prepare detailed progress reports for management and clients, highlighting key issues and risks.

• Maintain accurate records of project timelines, updates, and revisions.

• Coordinate with procurement and site teams for timely availability of materials, manpower, and equipment.

• Develop resource histograms and forecast requirements.

• Assist in project budgeting and cost control through performance analysis.

• Monitor subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with project timelines.

• Collaborate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure schedule adherence.

• Participate in project review meetings and provide planning insights.

• Coordinate with consultants and contractors for schedule updates and progress verification.

• Communicate potential risks and bottlenecks to management proactively.

• Ensure all planning and execution activities comply with company quality standards and safety policies.

• Verify that all work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.

• Support the project manager in implementing quality control and assurance plans.

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.

• Knowledge of cost control, productivity analysis, and progress reporting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
