Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures. 
• Prepares and labels solutions and medications used, reporting amounts for charting.
• Prepares back table and mayo stand, anticipating the needs of the surgeon using the surgeon’s preference card.
• Provides supplies or equipment upon request for the surgeon, nurses, and/or anesthesiologist. Holds retractors or instruments, sponges or suctions operative site, applies electrocautery to clamps on bleeders, cuts suture material, connects drains to suction apparatus, and applies dressings to a wound.
• Assists with draping sterile field and covers operating and instrument tables. Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation, before incision is closed, and as needed.

• Basic computer skills [Required]

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program

• A minimum of 1 year of CST experience in a surgical setting [Required]

• Basic Life Support BLS Cert [Required]
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] OR
• Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC) [Required]
