• Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies. 
• Follows written procedures for high-level disinfection and chemical and biological monitoring.
• Performs treatments and procedures within the defined scope of practice. Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and physician.
• Ensures the endoscopy suite is adequately prepared for procedures.
• Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each endoscopy procedure.
• Demonstrates competence in the care and accurate handling of specimens. Checks all equipment and instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure proper functioning.
• Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for endoscopy procedures. Maintains an orderly environment and anticipates the needs of the physician during procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the setup of multi-specialty endoscopy procedures. Other duties as assigned. 
• Demonstrates dexterity, knowledge, and safety in the care and handling of endoscopy instrumentation and supplies.

• Basic computer and keyboarding skills. [Required]

• Ability to work irregular hours including call hours. [Required]
• Knowledgeable about professional and practice issues related to the field of Gastroenterology. [Required]

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

• 1+ work related experience [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Preferred]

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
