The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a wide-ranging and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

 

The Space Control and Awareness Department (SCAD) is seeking a new team member to support mission analyses and operationsSCAD performs concept development, systems engineering, architecture analysis, algorithm development and evaluation support for national security space customers emphasizing electronic warfare (EW), directed energy (DE) effects, space domain awareness (SDA), Radar, Electro-Optical (EO) and Infrared (IR) sensors, orbit determination, and space protection and security. 

 

The Space Domain Awareness and Space Control Analyst will provide project and technical leadership, analytical support, algorithm development, systems engineering and architecting, and modeling and simulation analysis for space protection, space threat susceptibility, directed energy analysis, and space domain awareness.  Candidate will interact directly with government customers as well as Aerospace program office personnel in the Colorado Springs area and collaborate closely with Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) and program office personnel in El Segundo, CA, Chantilly, VA, and other locations. 

Work Model: This is a 100% on-site position located in Colorado Springs, CO. 

 

Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree with eight (8) years of applicable experience required 

  • Demonstrated experience within the SDA, space control mission areas or MW/MT/MD mission areas 

  • Experience with, or understanding of, electronic warfare and directed energy effects 

  • Experience in modeling, simulation, analysis, and/or algorithm development 

  • Led development of computer tools and simulations to support analyses of interdisciplinary support teams and performing general systems engineering and integration support 

  • Experience in at least one the following programming languages; Java, C++, Python, MATLAB, C, or FORTRAN. 

  • Good interpersonal communication and briefing skills along with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with high-level government, Aerospace, and contractor personnel. 

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.  U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
