The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is primarily responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring the EHS processes and systems for ITC. The scope includes evaluation, reviewing best practices, development, and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Manage and direct a remote EHS Team across various locations and business units across the United States and Hawaii
- →Ensure programs are tailored to the specific needs of each business unit
- →Lead integration of systems and resources from newly acquired business units and grow unified programs and team
- →Drive ongoing improvement of fleet safety performance through training, monitoring, and feedback processes
- →Provide interpretation and guidance on Federal, State, and local government requirements
- →Develop and position the EHS team for success; support professional development, and develop and mentor employees
- →Be an active leader in promoting EHS processes and programs ensuring the safest work environment for AFL employees and partners
- →Bridge and connect departments, business units, and functional areas to ensure implementation and compliance with regulatory requirements and AFL policies
- →Work internally and externally with business partners and customers on recommending and developing company policies and procedures
- →Recommend and develop policies and procedures to reduce safety risk and occupational health exposures
- →Participate in the development of project-specific EHS programs for new or expanded projects
- →Monitor EHS compliance through on-site visits, inspections, and audits
- →Support and assist with onboarding business partners through subcontractor vetting, management, and integration
- →Provide direction and support on work-related incidents, investigations, medical treatment, and return-to-work programs
- →Ensure all EHS documentation and records are collected and maintained in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
- →Represent ITC in client and consultant meetings related to EHS
- →Liaise with regulatory authorities to promote safety and resolve any issues or concerns
- →Be familiar with data collection and compliance platforms such as Avetta and ISNetworld
- Excellent communication and training skills

Requirements
~1 min read- 10+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) Designation
- Travel will fluctuate as needed
- Ability to work extended hours as business needs arise
