AI Automations Consultant Engineer

We are seeking an AI Automation Consultant / Engineer based in LATAM to work directly with US-based SMB clients on short-term consulting engagements focused on AI implementation and business process automation.

This is a highly client-facing role for someone who can identify operational inefficiencies, recommend practical AI and automation solutions, and independently implement systems that create measurable business impact. Engagements are designed to be implementation-focused rather than long-term managed services, meaning the ideal candidate can build scalable solutions and transition ownership back to the client after deployment.

You should be comfortable managing multiple clients simultaneously, communicating with non-technical stakeholders, and translating business problems into effective automation workflows using modern AI tools and platforms.

  Work directly with US-based SMB clients to identify automation and AI opportunities across operations, sales, recruiting, customer support, marketing, finance, and administrative workflows

  Analyze existing business processes and recommend practical AI-driven improvements

  Design, build, and implement automation systems using AI tools, APIs, no-code/low-code platforms, and custom workflows

  Lead client discovery sessions and gather business requirements

  Translate business challenges into scalable automation solutions

  Build systems that clients can independently maintain after implementation

• →

  Document workflows, SOPs, and implementation processes for client handoff

• →

  Manage multiple concurrent client engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment

  Communicate project progress, recommendations, and technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

  Troubleshoot and optimize automations post-launch during implementation phases

• 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, AI implementation, solutions consulting, or related technical consulting work

• Experience working directly with US-based SMB clients

• Strong client-facing communication and project management skills

• Proven experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously

• Hands-on experience with AI tools and automation platforms such as:

  • OpenAI / ChatGPT APIs

  • Claude APIs

  • Zapier

  • Make.com

  • n8n

  • Airtable

  • HubSpot automations

  • CRM and workflow integrations

• Understanding of business operations and the ability to identify automation opportunities across departments

• Experience integrating APIs and connecting business systems

• Ability to independently scope, implement, and document solutions

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

• Experience in a consulting, agency, or fractional implementation environment

• Experience with prompt engineering and AI workflow design

• Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or scripting for automation workflows

• Experience implementing AI-powered internal tools or operational systems

• Background supporting startups or SMB operational scaling

• Experience creating SOPs and client training documentation

• Clients experience measurable operational efficiency improvements

• Automation systems are reliable, scalable, and easy for clients to maintain

• Projects are delivered on time with strong client communication throughout

• Clients clearly understand and can operate implemented systems after handoff

• Multiple client engagements are managed effectively without sacrificing quality or responsiveness
