The Regional Soybean Production Analyst is responsible for coordinating operational and administrative activities related to seed production. This role ensures accurate tracking of seed inventory, supports quality control processes, and serves as a key point of contact with regional vendors, growers, and processing plants. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Regional Soy Production Support utilizes internal systems to manage production data, monitor inventory levels, and support seed production processes across the region. This is a remote position open to candidates residing between North Carolina and Maryland. Ideal candidates will be located in Eastern North Carolina. Work is primarily from home when not traveling.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Serve as the key point of contact for regional vendors, growers, and processing plants.
- →Perform quality checks of various seed types including commercial, parent seed, and experimental lines, both in field and laboratory environments.
- →Record and track seed line information throughout the production process.
- →Enter and manage seed inventory in GDM systems for various seed categories.
- →Monitor stock levels and support inventory accuracy through regular checks and physical inventories.
- →Track seed discards and support administrative processes related to grain sales.
- →Prepare written agreements with growers and support the assignment and tracking of production activities.
- →Support warehouse operations related to the distribution of test seed when required.
- →Utilize GDM systems for inventory tracking, reporting, and operational coordination.
- →Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth production operations and timely information flow.
- →Support operational planning and adapting processes as needed to ensure successful project execution.
- →Other duties assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Business, Agribusiness, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in agribusiness, seed production, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of seed production processes is desirable.
- Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with data management systems and operational tracking tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating within a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing operational needs.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight stays when necessary.
