The Tax Analyst will lead the U.S. and Canadian tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities. Partner with external advisors and the Global Tax team to ensure accurate filings, effective tax strategies, and alignment across jurisdictions.
Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary liaison with external tax advisors and the global tax team
- Collaborate with external tax partner on federal, state, provincial, local, indirect, and income tax matters
- Support global tax initiatives and cross-border matters
- Identify tax risks and planning opportunities
- Advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions
- Support tax provision (ASC 740) and quarterly/annual filings
- Prepare reconciliations and workpapers required for tax reporting and tax provision processes
- Partner with Finance & Accounting teams to gather information for tax filings and financial reporting
- Assist with special tax projects and strategic initiatives as assigned
- Prepare and file sales/use US taxes and Canadian tax filings
- Manage multi-jurisdiction filings
- Monitor nexus and maintain documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulations
- Support transfer pricing compliance requirements
- Assist with R&D tax credit calculations and documentation
- Maintain supporting documentation for all related activities
- Support tax audits and respond to tax notices
- Prepare required schedules and documentation
- Manage US 1099 form reporting
- Prepare property tax filings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication, presentation, and organization
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and research abilities
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- CPA, CPA in progress, or Master’s in Taxation preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in tax
- Experience with ASC 740, transfer pricing, and R&D credits preferred
- Multi-state or cross-border experience preferred
- Knowledge of U.S. tax regulations; Canadian tax regulations preferred
Requirements
