Sales Support Coordinator (12 months contract)

We are seeking a customer orientated person with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and great attention to detail to join our sales team as a sales support coordinator at our Sensient Auckland site. This exciting role will be a fixed term maternity leave coverage of 12 months from late September 2026 to September 2027. The role of Sales Support Coordinator will be is full time and based in our Auckland office.

Your primary function would be supporting the sales team in managing their customer portfolios.  You would also be part of a team looking after smaller inside sales accounts and ad hoc customer enquiries. In this sales support role, you would be working with the sales team and working closely with other teams such as customer service.  Provide product support to your customers, such as product samples and documentation requirements. This role is suitable for people with some sales experience/or customer facing experience and those in technical roles looking to take transferable skills and gain sales experience

What you will do:

• Supporting the sales team in sales administration such as preparing quotes, customer regulatory document requests and customer sample requests
• Business review preparation for the Sales Account Managers
• Leave cover for Account Managers while on leave/territory trips.
• Supporting inside sales customers with their enquiries.
• Responding to new customer enquiries or new business development opportunities.
• Implementing smaller customer sales marketing campaigns 
• Working with our customer services team to support the ordering process, such as customer quotes.
• Event support for the Sales and Marketing events as required. 

What you will bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in food technology, food science or equivalent education
• 1-2 years of experience in the food industry
• Detailed oriented and meticulous.
