Position Summary:
Responsible for direct and active management of a variety of delegated duties in order to allow the Chief Executive Officer to focus on non-delegable responsibilities. Handles internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO, and acts as a liaison with staff, executives, and stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares for and facilitates executive meetings (e.g., offsite meetings, program reviews, Board meetings, strategy reviews, Airbus executive sessions).
- Manages daily scheduling, travel and expenses for the CEO and other executives as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring long-range scheduling has been planned and coordinated, drawing from MARCOM and BD requirements to develop professional executive level presence and engagement.
- Responsible for ensuring the Executive Assistants to Executive Leadership Team members remain aligned on schedules, time-off, off-sites, and meeting coordination and scheduling
- Compiles, organizes and indexes information obtained from internal and external sources for fast future reference; follows records retention policies and destroys out-of-date materials.
- Coordinates projects or commitments directly involving the CEO and his direct reports. This responsibility primarily focuses on ensuring alignment among the often-disparate stakeholders including Airbus affiliates, customers and external parties. This includes internal leadership meetings, off-site engagements, and management of CEO's time and involvement in affiliate activities.
- Coordinates special CEO-initiated projects, ranging from written products to be authored by the CEO to convening thought leaders on various topics.
- Oversees research and development of specific communications on behalf of the CEO. This includes managing CEO directed internal communications program alongside the communication team. Priorities range from the CEO update at Board meetings, to follow up correspondence related to the CEO's various meetings, staff, to various speaking engagements involving external audiences.
- Proactively identifies issues that could impact the successful fulfillment of the CEO's commitments: This responsibility involves elevating those issues about which the CEO should be aware
- Supports the executive team's communications with the CEO. Supports executive staff in raising critical issues and decision points with the CEO.
- Tracks and ensures completion of CEO tasks to leadership team.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelors degree or relevant work experience required. Masters or MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years' work experience required
Experience / Skills / Training:
- Preference for Significant applicable/transferable experience in one or more of the following domains:
- private sector law,
- business strategy,
- communications,
- government relations or consulting
- public sector policy
- campaign strategy and execution
- Market research experience a plus
Competencies
- Mission-driven
- Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with ambiguous conditions and creatively solve problems to meet the CEO's intent
- Knowledge of the Airbus US/DSS and key stakeholders desirable but not essential
Travel Required:
- 20%

- US citizenship is required
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance

Nature of Contacts:
- Involved communication on a daily Basis with internal and external parties
- Contact with all levels of Airbus employees, employees of regulatory entities, Airbus European colleagues, and vendors. Contacts with all levels of customers including US Federal, operators and senior executives. Interacts frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, and/or scheduling requirements. Leads briefings and meetings for internal and external representatives.
