In this role, you will provide screening and diagnostic mammography care to patients from multiple Native American communities, operating state-of-the-art 2D and 3D tomosynthesis equipment in a fast-paced, mission-driven clinical environment. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the health outcomes of underserved Indigenous populations across the greater Phoenix area.

- Perform independent screening and diagnostic mammography examinations — including 2D and 3D/Tomosynthesis imaging — ordered by authorized medical staff using the Hologic Dimensions unit.
- Verify patient identity, prepare and position patients, and monitor comfort and safety throughout each examination.
- Conduct all required Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities in accordance with FDA/MQSA and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.
- Review images for technical quality and ensure diagnostic-grade results prior to finalizing each study.
- Document services accurately and on time in Government clinical systems including RPMS, EHR, and PACS.
- Apply radiation-safety and patient-safety best practices consistent with Image Gently and Image Wisely principles on every examination.
- Comply with PIMC infection-control, privacy, security, and patient-care protocols throughout all interactions.
What sets candidates apart:
- Prior experience operating a Hologic Dimensions 2D/3D Tomosynthesis mammography unit.
- Familiarity with Indian Health Service (IHS) clinical systems, including RPMS, EHR, or IHS-specific PACS environments.
- Experience delivering imaging services to Native American or other underserved patient populations.
- Additional ARRT certifications (e.g., Computed Tomography) that add scheduling flexibility across modalities.
- Demonstrated ability to work variable shifts, including weekends, in a high-volume hospital imaging department.
