A well-established, high-performing funeral services organization is seeking a General Manager to oversee multi-location operations and lead a team of experienced professionals. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing staff, and maintaining a premier standard of service across all locations.

Position Summary

The General Manager will oversee multiple locations and centralized operations, ensuring alignment in service delivery, team performance, and operational efficiency. This individual will lead a team of senior staff and play a key role in shaping culture, performance, and long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery aligned with company standards
  • Manage logistics and operational workflows across centralized functions
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges proactively

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior staff and managers
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support the growth and development of team members, including mentorship of emerging leaders
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, and performance management initiatives

Performance & Strategy

  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to meet organizational goals
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence
  • Partner with ownership to align on strategic priorities and execution
  • Contribute to long-term planning, structure, and scalability of operations


Qualifications

Required

  • 5–10+ years of leadership experience in a multi-location or high-volume service environment
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive results
  • Strong operational and organizational leadership skills
  • Ability to manage complexity and solve problems in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience in funeral services or a closely related field
  • Experience overseeing operations handling 1,000+ annual service cases
  • Background in developing teams and promoting internal growth
  • Business or management-related education is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $110,000
  • Total Compensation (OTE): ~$120,000+ (including performance-based bonus)
