At Alaya, we're building more than a successful company. We're building a workplace where people can do the best work of their careers.
Guided by our values of Care, Passion, and Oneness, we believe great businesses are built by great people who support one another, challenge each other to grow, and work together towards a shared purpose. We are committed to creating an environment where high performance and genuine care go hand in hand.
Today, our teams support thousands of clients across Australia, helping them achieve their financial goals with confidence. Along the way, we've built a culture that celebrates continuous learning, rewards ownership, and values people for both who they are and what they contribute.
Our commitment to our people has been recognised through multiple industry awards, including the HRD Asia 5-Star Employers of Choice Award. But our ambition goes further. We're on a journey to become one of Nepal's most exceptional workplaces, where talented people can build rewarding, long-term careers while contributing to something bigger than themselves.
If you're looking for a place where you'll be trusted, challenged, supported, and given opportunities to grow, you'll feel right at home at Alaya.
About the Role
~1 min readAs our People & Culture Coordinator, you'll be responsible for keeping the foundations of our people function strong, accurate, and reliable. From payroll and HRIS administration to onboarding, performance cycles, and compliance, you'll ensure critical people operations run smoothly and consistently.
You'll work closely with leaders and team members across the business, acting as a trusted point of contact for employee queries and people-related processes. Success in this role means creating confidence through accuracy, organisation, and follow-through, ensuring our people have the support they need while helping the business maintain high operational standards.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people, systems, and process, and takes pride in being the person others can rely on to keep things running exceptionally well.
What We Offer
~1 min readAt Alaya, you'll be part of a team that genuinely cares about people and believes great workplaces are built intentionally. We combine high standards with strong support, creating an environment where you can grow professionally while contributing to meaningful work.
We celebrate wins together, invest in learning and development, and create opportunities for people to build rewarding, long-term careers.
You'll thrive here if you're the person who naturally takes ownership, notices details others miss, and finds satisfaction in creating order, consistency, and clarity. You care deeply about people, but you're equally committed to maintaining high standards and doing what's right, even when it's uncomfortable.
We're looking for someone who:
- Owns outcomes, not excuses. When things go wrong, you take responsibility, find solutions, and focus on what can be improved rather than who is to blame.
- Has an exceptional eye for detail. Whether it's payroll, employee records, contracts, or HRIS data, accuracy matters to you and mistakes rarely slip through unnoticed.
- Learns fast and stays curious. You're constantly looking for better ways of working and have a track record of quickly mastering new tools, systems, or processes.
- Communicates with honesty and courage. You can have difficult conversations respectfully, provide clear feedback, and challenge ideas when needed, regardless of who is in the room.
- Turns feedback into growth. You welcome direct feedback, reflect on it, and use it to continuously improve your performance and impact.
- Thinks long term. You're looking to build a meaningful career, contribute to something bigger than yourself, and grow alongside a company with ambitious goals.
- Loves improving processes. You naturally create checklists, templates, guides, and systems that make work easier, faster, and more consistent for everyone.
If you're energized by creating exceptional employee experiences, solving operational challenges, and helping build a workplace people genuinely love being part of, we'd love to hear from you.
