- Demonstrate good aptitude for safe work practices; understanding the operation of process units and process variables, basic maintenance and material handling skills while ensuring product compliance to established standards
- Performs all functions relating to the processing of products; consistent with established requirements and in conjunction with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Adheres to all compliance/regulatory mandates and quality requirements
- Receives general work instructions orally, from emails, data files and/or from log sheets
- Monitors gages and recording instruments and adjusts valves and controls to regulate flow of chemicals through process systems for prescribed reaction within critical limits, according to log sheets and based on prior experience with equipment/process
- Performs material transfers to and from tanks, drums, rail cars, totes, etc.
- Moves chemical products through piping and valves using pumps and pressurized lines
- Assists in unloading raw materials, minor maintenance, and general cleanup work
- Heavily involved with day-to-day operations and process troubleshooting
- Involved with LOTO of equipment, permitting of work within the unit, and executing hazardous line breaks
Requirements
~1 min read- Must be flexible with rotating work shifts, and willing to work overtime
- Demonstrated safe work practices including the usage of PPE
- Be able to lift 25-50 lb. frequently, 50-100 lbs occasionally with necessary assistance
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders frequently.
- Must be able to wear respiratory protection
- Ability to work in a wide range of environments (indoors and outdoors) in varying degrees of heat and cold weather conditions
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions including SOP’s and Batch Record documentation
- Preferred knowledge of manufacturing processes and the operation of manufacturing equipment
- Preferred knowledge of computers / control systems
- Legible handwriting
- Willing and able to work in site fire brigade
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two years’ related experience or equivalent technical training/certification preferred; or a combination of related experience and technical training/certification
