Allegion Hollow Metal is seeking a results-driven Production Team Leader to lead production teams at our Fontana, CA manufacturing facility. This hands-on role focuses on safe, on-time production of highly configured, made-to-order hollow metal doors and frames while maintaining quality and cost targets. You will oversee daily production and scheduling, enforce standard work and EHS procedures, train and develop operators, and support continuous improvement and lean initiatives. Experience in metal fabrication (welding, forming, painting) and familiarity with OSHA/Cal‑OSHA and quality systems is a plus.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule workdays, shifts, and departments to achieve optimal production flow and customer satisfaction in a high-volume, build-to-order environment.
  • Ensure product quality and process adherence by enforcing standard operating procedures, writing and improving standard work, and holding operators accountable to company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement: engage the workforce on key business metrics, apply lean tools to eliminate waste, and lead Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen) as appropriate.
  • Apply root-cause problem solving to identify and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Organize and deliver training to develop staff capabilities; effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, peers, managers, and customers.
  • Ensure all operations are performed safely and in compliance with established EHS procedures; participate in planning, safety, and quality meetings.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing experience with demonstrated supervisory or lead experience; experience in a high‑volume, build‑to‑order environment preferred.
  • Practical exposure to Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and training skills; ability to present information and respond to groups of employees, peers, managers, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet production targets.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes (welding, forming, painting) and with OSHA/Cal‑OSHA and quality systems is a plus.
  • Ability to develop others, enforce standards, and maintain a productive, engaged team.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
