The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.

  • Assists with preparing and submitting federal tax returns and reports as required, including estimates and extensions.

  • Gathers and maintains documentation in support of tax laws and regulations.

  • Assists with the preparation of the year-end income tax provision and budgets/forecasts of projected federal income tax liability.

  • Conducts research of tax regulations, notices and IRS instructions to ensure proper compliance.

  • Prepares general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, including coordinating uploading financial data into tax software system.

  • Maintains tax software systems where applicable.

  • Supports tax department in all aspects of tax compliance (state income/franchise, information, and withholding reporting).

  • Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years of directly related professional-level experience.

  • Requires an in-depth understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations and a basic understanding of general accounting and reporting.

  • Basic understanding of documents and data required to support tax inquiries, audits and other issues.

  • Must have strong organizational skills and the motivation to drive success.

  • Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN.

  • CPA and public accounting experience preferred.

  • Process improvement project management experience preferred.

  • Experience with OIT, OTP, SAP, and/or Tableau Prep is a plus.

  • Thorough knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office, with the ability to resolve complex day-to-day problems.
