Specialty Operations Finance Reinsurance Associate Manager

As a key member of the finance team, you will:

• →Lead complex financial analyses and deliver insights that support business performance and strategic decisions.
• →Prepare and support Statutory and GAAP financial reporting requirements.
• →Develop, maintain, and analyze budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow models.
• →Support internal and external audits, including interactions with Deloitte and regulatory agencies.
• →Coordinate governance and control activities, including SOX self-assessments, segregation of duties reviews, and approval authorization processes.
• →Partner with leadership to understand business trends, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
• →Support claim reserve analyses and discontinued lines of business IBNR studies.
• →Drive process improvements and help enhance the effectiveness of financial operations.
• →Coach and mentor analysts while serving as a trusted resource across the team.
• →Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.

• Strong knowledge of reinsurance accounting and finance.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • Complex data analysis
  • Macros (preferred level of proficiency)
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• 5+ years of relevant finance, accounting, or reinsurance experience.

• Prior leadership or people management experience.
• Internal candidate experience or familiarity with the organization.
• Experience with:
  • Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered tools
  • Power BI
  • Microsoft Fabric
• Experience leading process improvement or transformation initiatives.
