Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for solving complex industrial challenges? Our client is seeking a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) to join their growing engineering team supporting major refinery and oil & gas projects in the Pacific Northwest.
This hybrid opportunity offers the flexibility of working three days onsite in Ferndale, WA (Tuesday–Thursday) and two days remotely (Monday & Friday) while contributing to innovative capital projects for industry-leading clients.

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll lead and support electrical engineering design for refinery and industrial facility projects from concept through commissioning.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design electrical systems for refinery and industrial facilities
- →Develop one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and electrical construction packages
- →Perform:
- →Load calculations
- →Voltage drop calculations
- →Cable sizing
- →Conduit sizing
- →Grounding design
- →Lighting calculations
- →Perform power system studies including:
- →Arc Flash Analysis
- →Short Circuit Studies
- →Protective Device Coordination
- →Utilize ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower software
- →Prepare electrical equipment specifications
- →Develop scopes of work and technical documentation
- →Prepare material requisitions and review vendor submittals
- →Evaluate electrical equipment and recommend technical solutions
- →Respond to RFIs during construction
- →Support commissioning, startup, and refinery turnaround activities
- →Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- →Maintain project budgets and schedules
- →Ensure compliance with:
- →NEC
- →IEEE
- →API
- →NFPA 70E
- →NFPA 497
- →Participate in client meetings and provide engineering leadership throughout project execution
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8–10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience within:
- Oil & Gas
- Refining
- Petrochemical
- Chemical Processing
- Heavy Industrial Facilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) License Required
Ideal candidates will possess experience with:
