The Role:

The Production Coordinator is instrumental in driving operational excellence across production and supply chain functions, managing the end-to-end production cycle for all purchase orders at American Tall. Acting as the central liaison between merchandising, overseas vendors, logistics partners, and planning, this role ensures production timelines are met, information flows seamlessly, and product deliveries stay on track from order creation through shipment. From issuing purchase orders and monitoring WIP reports to administering the ERP system and supporting cross-functional planning needs, the Production Coordinator ensures visibility, accountability, and precision at every stage of the production lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and support the production cycle for all purchase orders.
  • Create purchase orders for new and repeat style orders through ERP system.
  • Manage and monitor Purchase Orders through ERP system and the data flow for distribution across different departments as required.
  • Review bulk submissions of fabric, trim, findings, UPC and packaging for approval and escalate as required.
  • Work as a liaison between the merchandising team and overseas vendors to communicate production status and updates.
  • Track production timelines and monitor delivery status updates through a detailed work-in-progress report.
  • Communicate with vendors regularly to maintain visibility of production timelines and major milestone achievements through WIP reports.
  • Monitor order confirmations/Pro Forma invoices receipt from vendors and factories.
  • Support the logistics stage of the production cycle shipments by reviewing and analyzing packing lists to ensure production volumes adhere to American Tall requirements.
  • Maintain oversight of delivery timelines and communicate issues and delays to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify production and supply chain concerns and challenges. Communicate such findings to leadership.
  • Work cross-functionally to support American Tall’s Planning team to ensure necessary documents regarding PO status are maintained for their use.
  • Support internal departments by regularly publishing key information critical to the successful shipment of American Tall merchandise to customers.
  • A relevant post-secondary education preferred.
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience minimum in a production coordination role for a consumer goods, retail, or fashion/apparel company.
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience minimum actively working with PLM systems.
  • Experience with cross functional teams such as merchandising, warehousing, finance, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Strong computer skills are required; including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge with PLM system and prior experience with ERP system is considered a major asset
  • Strong Knowledge of merchandise planning fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of the e-commerce and/or retail space.
  • A natural and analytical problem solver.
  • Ability to handle a dynamic work environment with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively cross-functionally and within different verticals.
  • Excellent English communication skills – written and oral
