The Spring Engineering Co-op Program is a paid internship experience located in Spencer, Indiana. We offer a 16-week rotation with assignments in Manufacturing Engineering. All Co-op positions are assigned a direct mentor and each position provides real-world experience with meaningful projects in the medical device manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Engineering Co-Ops may be involved in projects in the following areas: Process Improvement; Test Method Validation; Production; Continuous Improvement; Process Technology; Manufacturing Transfer; Supplier; Sustaining; Engineering Test Lab; Sustaining Materials; Quality Engineering; Quality Data Analytics; Research and Development
- →Utilize engineering knowledge to produce project deliverables / documents
- →Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- →Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth
- →Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
- →Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
- →Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- →Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
- →Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
- →Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
Requirements
~1 min read• College/University student entering Sophomore, Junior or Senior year the following Fall Semester or Graduate student enrolled in Engineering.• Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.• All candidates must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university
• Onsite position that works under general office environmental conditions• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.• Experience recording and analyzing data and clearly expressing conclusions and recommendation in writing• Occasionally lifting with minimal exertion during shift• Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat and gloves may be required in some areas associated with this position
