Member Experience Specialist - Forestdale

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Assists members and non-members with general financial transactions and inquiries including but not limited to opening and closing deposit accounts, debit cards, online/mobile banking, adding/removing joints/PODs, safety deposit boxes, etc.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assists members and non-members with general financial transactions and inquiries including but not limited to opening and closing deposit accounts, debit cards, online/mobile banking, adding/removing joints/PODs, safety deposit boxes, etc. Resolves problems that are within their authority in a timely manner. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
- →Posts transactions and maintains records in accordance with credit union policies and guidelines.
- →Promotes, explains, and cross sells credit union products and services anticipating the needs of our members and advising them appropriately.
- →Maintains a teller drawer and performs teller functions as needed.
- →Acts as liaison between members and various departments.
- →May represents the credit union in business partner visits and various civic functions in order to develop additional business.
- →Expected to cross train on consumer lending and mortgages.
- →Provides notary services to members.
- →Performs other job related duties as assigned.
- Provide informed, prompt, accurate service and support to all members and employees.
- Open all accounts, certificates and other credit union products or services accurately, ensuring all related forms and documents are completed and filed/scanned in a timely manner.
- Actively cross-sell products and services to members to achieve or exceed all established goals and assist in meeting branch goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable credit union policies and procedures.
- Represents the credit union in a professional and courteous manner.
Experience: 1+ year experience working in a financial institution.
Must be proficient with teller transactions.
Experience with opening and closing deposit accounts is preferred.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Must be able to utilize various electronic systems to obtain and enter information. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Must demonstrate good judgment in order to resolve member issues and to offer other services. Must be capable of changing job function as member traffic dictates to meet member needs.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to move around the branch and must be able to sit and stand for an extended period of time. Light lifting is required.
