The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance tasks. This position supports a safe and professional work environment by ensuring all assigned areas are clean, well-maintained, and compliant with company safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
Clean spills promptly and remove potential safety hazards.
Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Wash windows, glass, mirrors, and other surfaces.
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging toilets.
Monitor the facility by locking doors, securing designated areas, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
Safely prepare and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with company procedures and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working condition.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Must be a U.S. citizen.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemical handling.
Basic maintenance and repair skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Work Environment
This position is performed primarily indoors but may require minimal work outdoors as needed. Employees may be required to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays, based on business needs.
Amphenol-CIT is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toed shoes
Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses
Hearing protection, in specific locations
Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas
