The Risk and Performance Consultant is responsible for managing the Department’s risk management and performance frameworks. As the Risk and Performance Consultant you provide consultancy and advisory services to business leaders in relation to the agency’s governance framework, risk management and performance measurement as part of the Governance and Performance team.

• →Develops, implements, communicates and manages the Department’s risk management policies and processes.
• →Develops, implements, communicates and manages the Department’s business continuity and critical incident management policies and processes.
• →Maintains and monitors the Department's risk register.
• →Manages and provides oversight of the Department’s key performance indicators (both efficiency and effectiveness indicators) and other performance measures that evaluate performance across all reporting requirements, including annual reports.
• →Assesses and monitors the Department’s activities that are exposed to risk and advise on appropriate strategies to mitigate.
• →Analyses, reviews and provides advice to senior management on performance measurement methodologies, data and reporting frameworks.
• →Promotes an organisational culture aware of risk management, performance management, and business continuity management principles, including the co-ordination of training and encourage integration with strategic and operational planning and performance management initiatives.
• →Maintains and monitors the quarterly reporting for the Department’s key performance indicators.
• →Monitors and supports the continuous improvement of the Department’s corporate governance mechanisms for the Department’s risk and performance management.
• →Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• →As directed, participates as a member of relevant internal and external committees and working parties in order to represent the Directorate or Department.

• All positions within the Department require the occupant to have a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) conducted with a satisfactory outcome.
• A pre-employment Conflict of Interest will be completed and assessed prior to appointment.

• Considerable and demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of risk management, business continuity planning, performance measurement and/or governance frameworks.
• Experience in identifying and implementing business improvements.
• High level of conceptual, analytical and research skills, including the use, analysis and interpretation of complex data to support solutions or ideas.
• Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Leading Others as outlined below.
