This is a defining leadership role for Antheia’s next phase of growth. As Director, Global Supply Chain Planning, you will be the company’s first dedicated planning leader and global S&OP process owner - architecting and operating the integrated business planning infrastructure that connects Antheia’s commercial ambitions to its manufacturing and CDMO network. You will build from the ground up, establishing the processes, tools, cadence, and team that will underpin Antheia’s ability to continue scaling both OUS and US supply chains. Reporting to the SVP, Supply Chain & External Manufacturing, you will be a cross-functional integrator; partnering with Commercial Operations, Finance, Operations, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, and external CDMO partners to create a single version of the truth for demand and supply, and facilitating the executive decisions that keep Antheia on plan.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and own Antheia’s global S&OP and S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) processes from the ground up, establishing a disciplined monthly and weekly cadence.
  • Serve as the enterprise’s S&OP process owner and primary facilitator; leading cross-functional pre-meetings (Demand Review, Supply Review, Financial Reconciliation) and executive S&OP meetings with senior leadership.
  • Evolve the process from foundational S&OP to a full Integrated Business Planning (IBP) model as Antheia scales, connecting demand/supply plans to financial and strategic long-range plans.
  • Define and maintain S&OP governance, meeting cadence, templates, escalation paths, and decision rights across the organization.
  • Build and maintain executive-ready S&OP dashboards and reporting packages that surface key risks, gaps, and decisions clearly and concisely.
  • Develop and govern the global demand planning process across all time horizons (short-term execution, rolling 24-month S&OP, and long-range strategic plan).
  • Partner with Commercial Operations and Finance to build a consensus-based, statistically grounded demand plan for both commercial and new pipeline products.
  • Establish forecast accuracy metrics, accountability frameworks, and continuous improvement mechanisms to drive increasingly reliable demand signals.
  • Ensure demand plans reflect market intelligence, new customer wins, product launches, regulatory milestones, and pipeline transitions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end supply plans integrating Antheia’s US manufacturing site and European CDMO partners into a unified global supply network view.
  • Translate demand signals into executable supply plans across fermentation, downstream processing and distribution, identifying capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and risk mitigation options.
  • Partner with Operations, Technical Operations, and CDMO partners to assess and balance global capacity, ensuring alignment with commercial commitments and financial targets.
  • Establish supply planning processes that account for the unique dynamics of fermentation-based manufacturing including yield variability, batch campaign scheduling, and yield optimization initiatives.
  • Drive supply scenario planning and contingency modeling to ensure business continuity and supply chain resilience.
  • Define and implement global inventory strategies including safety stock policies, buffer positioning, and segmentation logic across Antheia’s product portfolio and supply network.
  • Monitor and manage inventory health using industry specific KPIs, providing regular reporting and recommended actions to leadership.
  • Optimize working capital through disciplined inventory management without compromising customer service levels.
  • Lead supply chain planning for new product introductions, including commercial launches, product scale-ups, and technology transfers across Antheia’s growing pipeline.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams to build integrated NPI timelines that align manufacturing readiness with market launch requirements.
  • Establish validation batch planning, launch inventory build strategies, and supply risk mitigation plans for each new product entering commercial production.
  • Act as the primary supply chain planning liaison to Commercial Operations, Finance, Operations and Quality & Regulatory Affairs, building a planning culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Engage and manage planning-related interfaces with European CDMO partners, including capacity confirmations, rolling forecasts, and issue escalation.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership through clear, data-driven communication of supply/demand trade-offs and recommended courses of action.
  • As Antheia scales, recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing global planning team, with anticipated near-term headcount based primarily at the US manufacturing site.
  • Define the organizational structure, roles, and competency framework for the planning function as it matures.
  • Champion the implementation of advanced planning tools and support ERP/MES systems appropriate to Antheia’s growth stage and complexity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, intellectual curiosity, and operational excellence within the planning function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned[1]

  •  Full-time base salary range of $180,000 - $230,000 plus an annual bonus potential and equity opportunities.  Compensation will be adjusted based on applicant's location.
  •  Opportunity for this position to be fully remote if outside of California or a hybrid role in the Menlo Park, CA headquarters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior planning role within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty chemical industries. OR equivalent experience at a strategy consulting firm leading implementation of S&OP / IBP processes.
  • Demonstrated experience as an S&OP or IBP process owner-not just a participant-with a track record of designing, implementing, and maturing the process.
  • Proven ability to build planning processes and functions from scratch in a high-growth, commercial-stage environment.
  • Deep expertise across demand planning, supply planning, capacity management, and inventory optimization in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience managing supply chain planning across a hybrid manufacturing network of owned sites and CDMOs/CMOs, ideally with cross-border complexity.
  • Strong financial acumen—able to connect supply/demand plans to P&L, working capital, and budget implications.
  • Outstanding executive communication and stakeholder facilitation skills; proven ability to influence without authority in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with ERP and advanced planning systems, both implementation and optimization
