arrivia is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our general ledger team and contribute to accurate financial reporting, a timely monthly close, and stronger accounting processes. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will work alongside senior and staff accountants while taking responsibility for your own accounts and a revenue stream.

This is a hands-on opportunity to put your accounting experience into practice across journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support. You will also help improve workflows and internal controls, contributing to how the accounting function operates as the business grows.

  • General Ledger Accounting: Prepare and record accurate, complete, and timely journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Revenue Accounting: Take responsibility for the accounting of an assigned revenue stream alongside standard balance sheet activity.
  • Monthly Close: Complete assigned close activities and collaborate with the team to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Account Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support the monthly balance sheet review.
  • Audit and Tax Support: Prepare supporting documentation for annual audit activities, including interim and field testing, and respond to quarterly and annual tax requests.
  • Variance Analysis: Partner with Finance colleagues to understand and explain the drivers of monthly P&L variances.
  • Internal Controls: Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve the accuracy and consistency of accounting processes.
  • Process Standardization: Help establish practical procedures and best practices that make recurring accounting work more efficient.
  • Systems and Reporting: Participate in system implementations and upgrades that improve financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide backup support for colleagues and help keep shared accounting priorities moving.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and accounting pronouncements.
  • Strong technology skills, including experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with colleagues at different levels of the organization.
  • The ability to complete work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative accounting team.
  • A practical, improvement-minded approach to accounting workflows, accuracy, and internal controls.
