Safety and wellbeing are fundamental to how we operate at Asahi Beverages. As our Environment, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you’ll play a key role in strengthening safety, wellbeing and environmental performance across our Albury and Wodonga manufacturing and logistics operations.

 

Working closely with site leaders and operational teams, you’ll bring our ESW systems to life, build capability and ownership, and turn risk, compliance and performance insights into practical improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leaders and operational teams to strengthen ownership and embed a proactive safety and wellbeing culture.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of ESW management systems, critical controls and improvement initiatives.
  • Drive risk and incident management, including investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions and shared learnings.
  • Coordinate legislative compliance, audits and reviews, ensuring requirements and corrective actions are effectively managed.
  • Monitor ESW performance and trends, translating insights into practical site improvement initiatives.
  • Build capability through specialist advice, coaching and training, while supporting contractor management and safe work practices.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Health and Safety or a relevant discipline.
  • At least three years’ EHS experience within a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated safety or environmental improvement.
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems, with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or equivalent experience highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of relevant environmental and workplace health and safety legislation and Australian Standards.
  • Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to engage leaders and frontline employees.
  • Practical experience across risk management, incident investigation, auditing and regulatory compliance, supported by strong problem solving and organisational skills.
