Senior Applications Specialist - ERP

• Act as the primary internal functional owner and support lead for the PRONTO Xi v780 ERP system.
• Provide day‑to‑day application support and incident management across core business areas, including Finance, Supply Chain & Procurement, Plant Maintenance / Asset Management, Inventory & Warehouse, Project Costing, and Operational Reporting.
  
• Manage and prioritize ERP incidents, problems, and service requests to ensure timely resolution.
  
• Coordinate support activities with external PRONTO ERP support providers.
  
• Ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs), support standards, and internal procedures.
  

• Work closely with functional departments to analyze business and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  
• Recommend and deliver enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and strengthen reporting and decision‑making capabilities.
  
• Translate business requirements into functional ERP system enhancements and solutions.
  
• Lead or support business process optimization initiatives and coordinate testing of system upgrades and enhancements.
  

• Configure and maintain ERP modules, workflows, and functional settings within PRONTO Xi.
  
• Administer and maintain master data structures, user roles and access controls, approval workflows, and system parameters.
  
• Deliver minor system enhancements and functional customizations as required.
  
• Maintain accurate ERP documentation, system configuration records, and registers.
  

• Support subject matter experts in the development of operational and financial reports within PRONTO.
  
• Contribute to the delivery and maintenance of business intelligence and operational dashboards.
  
• Provide analytical insights to support performance management across inventory, maintenance, cost control, and procurement functions.
  
• Enable informed management decision‑making through effective use of ERP reporting and analytics.
  

• Lead and support the ERP super‑user network across corporate and operational sites.
  
• Develop and maintain training materials and refresher programs to support effective ERP usage.
  
• Deliver ongoing training and knowledge transfer for new hires and business teams.
  
• Promote best practices and standardized ERP usage across the organization.
  

• Assess, prioritize and manage ERP change and enhancement requests.
  
• Support ERP governance and change control frameworks.
  
• Contribute to ERP roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Lead or coordinate testing activities for system upgrades, patches and new module deployments.
  

• Maintain effective working relationships with PRONTO ERP implementation and support partners.
  
• Support and monitor integrations between PRONTO and third‑party systems, including maintenance planning, fleet management, procurement platforms, and Payroll / HR systems.
  
• Monitor integration performance and coordinate issue resolution as required.

• Lead ERP hypercare and stabilization activities following system implementations or major releases.
  
• Monitor system usage and adoption metrics.
  
• Identify recurring user issues and implement improvement actions.
  
• Drive long‑term ERP optimization and maturity improvement.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor or authorized delegate.

Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• ERP certifications or vendor training in PRONTO and/or leading ERP platforms such as SAP, JD Edwards, IFS or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Agile BA) is desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise application support.
  
• Minimum of 5 years hands‑on experience supporting ERP systems in a live production environment.
  
• Experience within mining, manufacturing, logistics, or asset‑intensive industries preferred.
  
• Strong experience in ERP functional configuration and support.
  
• Proven ability to work closely with operational and site‑based teams.
• Experience with ERP platforms- PRONTO Xi or equivalent enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Functional knowledge across Financials, Procurement & Inventory, Plant Maintenance, Projects & Costing and Warehouse Management.
• Strong technical knowledge of ERP integrations and APIs, supported by proficiency in SQL, reporting tools, workflow configuration, and role-based security models
