As part of our Safe and Stable Family Service; Ascentria will deliver services that assist parents/caregivers with growing their capacity to keep children safe in their homes to either prevent removal or support families after reunification. Motivational interviewing and parent coaching will be utilized to help develop and enhance the Five Protective Factors based on family strengths and individual needs.

  • MA - Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field with 1-year experience and LSW licensure eligibility
  • NH - Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field with 2 -years’ experience working with children and/or families
  • Ability to work within the Mission of the agency.
  • Significant experience working with children with social/emotional/physical problems desirable. Mediation and conflict resolution skills helpful. 
  • Lived experience relevant to the role is strongly valued and encouraged
  • Word processing/computer skills preferred.
  • Open to new ideas and desire to grow professionally. Flexibility in thinking and scheduling. 
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. 
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations, protocols and/or procedures. 
  • Knowledge of Five Protective Factors framework and its application to family support
  • Computer skills required. 
  • Ability to travel to meet client needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion; investigate, analyze and draw professional conclusions.
