Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Medical/Surgical unit provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider. This role is essential in supporting patient recovery, monitoring clinical conditions, and delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

- Schedule: Flexible; shifts and days vary

- Supervisory Responsibilities: None
- Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the care team
- Assist with procedures and support patient care activities
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive care environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required

Employment Requirements
- Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
