In this individual contributor role, you will own end‑to‑end product lifecycle management and change management for obsolescence and change across a complex product portfolio. You play a critical role in safeguarding supply continuity while enabling advanced packaging ramps through disciplined execution of internal and customer qualifications. By setting a strong operating cadence and driving consistent decision‑making, you balance cost, quality, and schedule to keep ASM delivering reliably to customers. The successful candidate will work cross functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Global Product Support, and Suppliers to ensure effective execution of product changes, obsolescence mitigation, and cost-effective lifecycle strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end component and technology obsolescence management for assigned products, from early risk identification through resolution and formal closure.
  • Lead the operating cadence for obsolescence and change management, including prioritization, risk reviews, and decision forums, with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
  • Partner with supply chain, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to monitor lifecycle signals such as EOL, PCN, and PDN, and drive timely mitigation plans.
  • Develop and own obsolescence project plans, covering scope, schedule, stakeholder alignment, decision logging, and clear status reporting.
  • Drive alternate part and form‑fit‑function replacement strategies, coordinating cross‑functional technical evaluations and assessing cost, risk, and lead‑time impacts.
  • Coordinate and track internal qualification activities, including design updates, validation, reliability testing, and documentation changes.
  • Lead customer change and qualification activities where required, aligning sample builds, data packages, compliance evidence, and approval timelines.
  • Plan and execute manufacturing cut‑ins, including cutover timing, last‑time‑buy consumption strategies, inventory disposition, and BOM and routing updates.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of PLM data, including part attributes, effectiveness, change notices, and configuration control.
  • Own last‑time‑buy recommendations and demand alignment in close collaboration with planning and procurement teams.
  • Communicate risks proactively, providing clear escalation paths and executive‑ready summaries to protect supply continuity.
  • Maintain compliance and audit readiness for change control and product configuration records.
  • Coordinates inter‑company alignment on product strategy, marketing strategy, pricing guidance, spare strategies, and roadmap proliferation.
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial) 
  • Proven experience leading PLM, engineering change management, sustaining engineering, or NPI/operations interface work with cross‑functional ownership.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in obsolescence management, including EOL, PCN/PDN, last‑time‑buy strategies, and qualification and cut‑in execution.
  • Solid experience with ECR/ECO/ECN processes, configuration management, and PLM disciplines such as BOMs, effectiveness, and part attributes.
  • Demonstrated program and project management capability, including planning, risk management, escalation, and executive‑level communication.
  • Strong manufacturing and product knowledge, with the ability to interpret BOMs and specifications, assess form‑fit‑function impact, and understand build readiness and cut‑in gates.
  • Experience partnering directly with customers on change control and qualification approvals, especially in regulated or high‑reliability environments.
  • Familiarity with structured risk frameworks, including criticality ranking, single‑source risk assessment, and multi‑sourcing strategies.
  • Strong judgment in balancing technical, operational, and commercial trade‑offs to protect supply continuity while meeting cost and service targets.
