Role: Technical Solutions Group - Software Solutions Architect
As Software Solutions Manager, you will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and play a key role in driving Aspire's software-led growth strategy. You will work closely with Sales, CTO and Operations to translate customer challenges into innovative software solutions and business opportunities.
Your primary focus will be Aspire's software portfolio, including ATAP and Oracle Unified Assurance based solutions, but you’re expected to be wide.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Define, develop and maintain commercial software and service offerings based on Aspire capabilities, including ATAP, Oracle Unified Assurance, AI, Automation and Digital Infrastructure solutions
- Translate customer challenges and market requirements into scalable, market-ready offerings with clear value propositions and business outcomes
- Support Sales teams in identifying, qualifying and developing software-led business opportunities
- Engage with customers to understand business, operational and technical requirements and align Aspire solutions accordingly
- Design end-to-end solutions to address customer needs and support Aspire's strategic objectives, working together with Sales, CTO and Operations
- Conduct customer workshops, discovery sessions and technical presentations to position Aspire's solutions and services
- Develop solution proposals, Statements of Work (SoW), business cases and ROI models to support opportunity development and deal closure
- Drive and support RFP, RFQ and RFI responses, ensuring technical compliance and differentiation of Aspire's offerings
- Identify opportunities to convert bespoke customer engagements into repeatable solutions, managed services and recurring revenue offerings
- Work closely with Sales, CTO and Operations to evolve Aspire's software portfolio and solutions roadmap
- Collaborate with Oracle and other strategic technology partners to develop joint solutions and support go-to-market initiatives
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback and competitive developments to identify new growth opportunities and innovative software, AI and automation solutions
Required Experience and competence
Candidates should have a strong background in software solutions, telecommunications, cloud technologies, automation, observability or digital infrastructure. They should be comfortable operating at the intersection of technology, business development and customer engagement, with the ability to transform technical capabilities into commercially successful solutions.
The following qualifications and experience are desirable:
- At least 5 years of experience in software solutions, telecommunications, cloud, automation, observability or related technology domains
- At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role such as Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, Project Manager or Business Development Manager
- Proven experience designing and positioning complex software solutions for enterprise customers
- Experience translating customer requirements into solution architectures, Statements of Work, proposals and business cases
- Experience developing or packaging commercial offerings and bringing new solutions to market
- Experience supporting sales teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle, including customer presentations, workshops, RFPs and negotiations
- Knowledge of telecommunications networks, digital infrastructure and operational support systems is highly desirable
- Experience with network automation, assurance, observability, analytics or AI-driven solutions is an advantage
- Experience with Oracle Unified Assurance or comparable software ecosystems is an advantage
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer value, technical feasibility and business objectives
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple disciplines, including Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Delivery and Strategic Partners
- Ability to identify market opportunities and translate emerging technology trends into customer-focused solutions and commercial offerings
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving business priorities and customer requirements
- Willingness to travel internationally as required

Attributes of the Technical Solutions Group – Software Solutions Manager include:
Solutions Skills:
- Strong end-to-end technical knowledge in mobile Networks, knowledge of fixed networks is a plus
- Proven track record working in mobile Networks Operator projects
- Strong understanding of Network Operator organisations
- Deep knowledge of Aspire solutions and related partnerships
- Ability to clearly explain ongoing and completed Aspire projects, associated outcomes and value delivered
- Ability to draft Statements of Work for customer proposals and RFP responses
- Ability to speak the same “Technical” language as target customers
- Ability to develop bespoke or customized solutions for customers to address specific client needs
- Ability to understand technology trends and translate them to new and improved technical solutions.
Business Skills:
- Focus on customer value – the ‘why’ rather than the ‘what we do’
- Ability to listen to customer issues and relate such issues to Aspire solutions
- Ability to think beyond current Aspire solutions and capabilities to pursue new business opportunities
- Good appreciation of operational delivery requirements associated with new solutions including synergies with existing solutions
- Ability to gain customer confidence to turn vendor/customer relationship to partnership (consultative approach)
Customer Facing Skills:
- Capable of creating and clearly delivering customer presentations
- Taking ownership for driving opportunities technically
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers to manage expectations and to cultivate a relationship for value creation, thus driving further business
- Managing and taking responsibility for communication/reporting to the stakeholders at every level - internally and externally
- Willing to travel to customer meetings, sometimes at short notice
- High social intelligence to; be able to identify the customer main drivers and key priorities, and go strategic or very deep based on the target audience
