Position Overview
As an Advanced Care Paramedic with Associated Ambulance, you will be an essential member of our emergency medical response team, providing vital prehospital care and lifesaving interventions to the Evansburg community and surrounding area.
Successful applicants will work a predictable and balanced rotation of four days on, followed by four days off. A 0.5 rotation may also be considered in a temporary full time capacity. Please contact the Recruitment Team for further information.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess patient conditions to determine the extent of injury or illness and identify immediate care requirements.
• Provide prehospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization and preparation for ambulance transport.
• Monitor vital signs, assess blood glucose levels, and perform other diagnostic procedures.
• Perform advanced life support procedures, including intubation and cardiac pacing.
• Collaborate with emergency medical personnel, emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
• A valid Advanced Care Paramedic practice permit that meets the EMS practice requirements in Alberta.
• A current and valid Alberta Class 4 driver’s licence.
• Completion of all mandatory and required training, including MCP and PDIC.
• Successful completion of FARE or current full time experience is mandatory.

• The ability to remain calm and perform efficiently in high pressure emergency situations.
Upcoming 2026 Orientation Dates
• October 5 to 9
• December 7 to 11
Retention Incentive
The permanent full time position qualifies for a retention bonus structured as follows:
• One year commitment: $5,000
• Two year commitment: $12,000
• Three year commitment: $17,000
