Collaborates with workers to produce quality finished products while maintaining efficient workflows. Assists and trains Production Associates, in addition to working closely with supervisors to provide a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate brings welding experience, specifically in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate would be flexible to learn the rest of the floor during intermittent times of downtime in the screw cell division. We are looking for someone proactive so when work is low or orders are on high volume of backorders, this candidate will need to be flexible to lead and learn the entire manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily production activities in a steel manufacturing environment, including hands-on MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accurate fit-up, weld placement, and product quality.
  • Perform basic welding (tack welds, minor fabrication, weld repairs) and visually inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Measure finished products to 1/32" tolerance and verify dimensional and weld integrity standards are met.
  • Train team members on equipment operation, safe material handling, and welding best practices.
  • Assist with machine setups, welding equipment adjustments, and minor troubleshooting to maintain production flow.
  • Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Enter production data into ERP and collaborate cross-functionally to meet output and quality goals.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure adherence to all safety and PPE requirements.

Requirements

$26/hr while training on first shift (4-8 Weeks) then $28/hr once transitioned to third shift
