Administrative Director, Surgical & Procedural Services

Drives operational excellence throughout the service area and leads growth of service line volume within facility, development of new programs and advancement of existing ones. Partners with senior administrators, executives and professional staff to distinguish his/her facilities’ services and experience in the eyes of the physician, patients and consumers. Will lead in execution of development & sustaining physician relationships, procedural access, patient and referral source satisfaction, and budget preparation/profitability. The Administrative Director of Surgical & Procedural Services will integrate with the organization’s operations, participate in performance improvement activities, and ensure professional and regulatory compliance is achieved in all areas of responsibility. Responsible & available within respective area for the total number of hours that the unit is operational.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree of Nursing and/or healthcare related field
- Annual education per hospital certifications
- BLS
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare
- 3+ years of experience in leadership role Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Preferred Qualifications
- DNP
- Current and valid Registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact agreement with Virginia
- Specialty certification: AORN, CPAN, NE-BC, NEA-BC
Skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action and multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to lead and promote service excellence for customers
- Experienced in developing and encouraging strategic relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work and organizational goals
- Communicates with a purpose and intent with people at all levels in the organization and outside networks, including team members, vendors and patients
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach, develop and lead others
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to partner with and influence all levels of the organization
- Exposure and knowledge of Surgical Service Line
- Serves as a consultant/expert for respective area
- Pathway to Excellence Standards
- Available and may participate in call as resource for respective area and/or organizational call after hours
- Other duties as assigned
