The Cardiovascular Service Line Director is responsible for direct management, performance, implementation and outcome monitoring of Cardiovascular Services. Departments include Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab, Non-Invasive Vascular Lab, and Cardiology Practice. Collaborates closely with nursing division to ensure efficient cardiology operations. Also responsible for implementing strategic planning for on-going business development activities, developing marketing and outreach strategies, facilitating decision making process with Medical Directors, coordinating with nursing units in telemetry, emergency, home care, clinics and cardiac units for patient triage, physician needs and overall care delivery and developing, reviewing and achieving annual cardiac and vascular service-line budgets.
In partnership with directors and providers, oversees management of assigned service lines to ensure the overall operational success in cost, quality, and service. Leads optimization of cardiology workflows, access, and resource utilization to enhance patient care and provider efficiency. Provides vision and direction for developing a culture where physicians, advance practice providers, leaders, and staff desire to devote their careers. Demonstrates and promotes corporate values, service excellence, continuous
improvement, team development and professional growth.
Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field required; Master's degree in related field preferred
Licensure/Certification: Relevant and current clinical licensure required; certification in healthcare management (e.g, FACHE) preferred
Experience: 5+ years of service line leadership required; 3+ years of Cardiovascular Leadership experience
The Director must possess strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to inspire, develop, and lead leadership teams in a healthcare setting. They should demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking, able to develop and execute long-term plans that improve patient care, increase operational efficiency, and expand services. Financial acumen is essential, including experience managing budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring the sustainability of programs.
