We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our automation team. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end SCADA system design, implementation, and project execution while mentoring engineers and ensuring successful delivery of complex industrial automation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, integration, and implementation of SCADA solutions across multiple industries.
  • Define and develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Prepare detailed software and hardware design specifications.
  • Lead the development, testing, deployment, and documentation of SCADA applications.
  • Develop system validation and testing protocols ensuring compliance and quality standards.
  • Oversee procurement and specification of software, hardware, and licenses.
  • Prepare scope of supply documents and technical proposals.
  • Estimate engineering effort and man-hours for project execution.
  • Manage and technically lead SCADA project delivery from start to commissioning.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Lead on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and system start-up activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to operators, engineers, and client teams.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical team members.

Requirements

  • B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering from a recognized institute.
  • 7–8 years of relevant experience in Automation / SCADA engineering roles.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SCADA platforms such as AVEVA System Platform, FactoryTalk, WinCC, or equivalent systems.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server environments, SQL databases, and industrial networking.
  • Experience in supervising field installations including cabling, containment, and instrumentation is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to engage clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Candidates currently available in Qatar with a valid transferable work visa will be preferred.
