The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for developing and executing cost-effective sourcing and supply chain strategies. The role focuses on optimizing procurement spend, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services to support business and project requirements, enabling the organization to invest in growth and people.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of technical specifications, quality standards, and organizational expectations
- →Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate optimal pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- →Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential new suppliers in alignment with business needs
- →Execute procurement activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and project requirements, including participation in commercial negotiations
- →Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and manage contract variations to ensure effective delivery and improved business outcomes
- →Identify, mitigate, and escalate supply chain and procurement risks to meet organizational obligations and maximize business opportunities
- →Maintain and update procurement documentation, including order processing sheets (OPS), and generate procurement and contract activity reports to meet compliance requirements
- →Manage urgent and critical project deliverables while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule commitments
- →Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, financial stability, and compliance with safety standards, and maintain an updated approved vendor list
Requirements
~1 min read- BSc in Engineering (any discipline)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics
- Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies
- Experience in project budgeting and managing cash inflows/outflows
- Hands-on experience with foreign procurement and international sourcing
- Knowledge of international logistics (Air & Sea) and Incoterms
- Understanding of national logistics (Road, Rail, and Air)
- Familiarity with commercial and payment terms
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MSGP
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
