You support people with disabilities and mental health needs in living the life they choose. Day to day, that looks like helping someone get ready in the morning, cooking a meal together, driving to an appointment or a job, working through a hard moment when it comes, and writing down how the day went so the next person on shift knows.

Requirements

You are 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED.
You have a valid driver’s license and can pass a background check.
You can be relied on to turn up for your shift, because someone is counting on you being there.
You are patient with people on their worst day.
Ability to implement Individual Treatment Plans, Behavior Management Plans, Independent Living Plans, and Personal Support Plans as written.
Competence in supporting activities of daily living (ADLs): personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility, and medication monitoring (per agency policy).
Skill in teaching and reinforcing coping skills, social skills, and independent living skills.
Capacity to follow and reinforce structured behavioral interventions and reinforcement systems.
