Requirements
~1 min readIndependent Oversight (IO) provides objective assurance and advice on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls, including the manner in which the first and second lines of assurance achieve risk management and control objectives.
This role provides timely, accurate and reliable data reporting, information-management and administrative support to the Independent Oversight & Peer Review team. A core part of the role involves analysing assurance data, identifying trends and insights, supporting reporting and helping the management team make evidence-based decisions.
- Transforming Independent Oversight and Peer Review data into actionable insights, reports, and management information that support improvement, decision-making and identification of emerging themes.
- Continuously improve processes by making appropriate proposals and implementing agreed improvements.
- Identify problems and data-quality issues, developing solutions within agreed parameters or escalating where necessary.
- Maintain high standards of information management and administration services.
- Administration of tasks in support of Independent Oversight & Peer Review deliverables.
- Build positive, open and enduring relationships with stakeholders and team.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Analyse and interrogate Independent Oversight and Peer Review datasets to identify trends, themes, insights and improvement opportunities that support effective reporting
- →Cross-check and validate data from multiple sources to ensure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of reporting outputs.
- →Maintain and continuously improve Independent Oversight information-management systems, including SharePoint lists, ensuring data remains accurate, useful and capable of supporting effective reporting and analysis.
- →Support the development and continuous improvement of reporting products, dashboards and analytical tools used by the team and wider company.
- →Provide effective information-management and business support services to the team.
- →Support management activities to meet business needs.
- →Provide support to Independent Oversight & Peer Review activities, where appropriate.
- →Seek and collate business feedback on residual issues
- Experience using reporting or visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Experience producing dashboards, management information or performance reports.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Interest in one or more of the following data analytics, data science or business intelligence skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience transforming complex data into meaningful insights, trend analysis, and reporting to support operational needs
- Comfortable working with complex data sets.
- Able to identify trends, themes and areas for improvement.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel to analyse data, create reports and present information effectively.
- BTEC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or demonstrable relevant experience.
- Able to manage several tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Experience engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
