Join a collaborative enterprise technology organization supporting critical cybersecurity and governance initiatives in a regulated life sciences environment. This team is preparing to launch several security-focused projects and needs a project leader who can bring structure, communication, and delivery discipline to technical workstreams. The environment requires close partnership with IT security, business stakeholders, portfolio leadership, and vendor teams to keep projects organized, visible, and on track.

Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

This is a full-time contract opportunity with a hybrid work expectation in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The selected professional should be available to work onsite at least one day per week, with the possibility of two days per week depending on project needs. The role offers visibility across cybersecurity leadership and enterprise IT teams, with the opportunity to support high-priority security initiatives over a long-term engagement.

• Lead IT cybersecurity projects from kickoff through execution, governance, status reporting, and closeout.
• Create and manage core project artifacts, including project plans, charters, kickoff materials, status reports, RAID logs, and steering committee updates.
• Partner with cybersecurity, IT, PMO, business, and vendor stakeholders to clarify scope, track progress, resolve issues, and escalate risks.
• Run effective project meetings, kickoff sessions, governance discussions, and stakeholder updates.
• Translate cybersecurity terminology and project risks into clear, business-ready communication.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives that may involve identity management, security governance, NIST-aligned work, continuity planning, zero trust, or related enterprise security efforts.
• Apply established project management lifecycle standards while adapting documentation and governance needs based on project size and complexity.
• Bring structure and follow-through to technical teams without acting as a hands-on security engineer.

• 7–10 years of overall professional experience, including at least 4–5 years in project management.
• Proven experience managing IT projects, with strong preference for cybersecurity, information security, IAM, GRC, or related security initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity terminology and ability to communicate effectively with IT/security stakeholders.
• Ability to build project plans, write charters, prepare kickoff decks, manage RAID logs, and deliver clear project reporting.
• Experience running project meetings, stakeholder updates, governance meetings, or steering committee sessions.
• Familiarity with portfolio or project management tools.
• Vendor or RFP process exposure is helpful, but deep RFP ownership is not required.
• Bachelor’s degree required; IT, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• Pharmaceutical, life sciences, GxP, or regulated industry experience preferred but not required.
• Must be local enough to commute to Bridgewater, NJ 1–2 days per week.
• Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, accountability, and follow-through.
